What is Coaching?

I’m so glad you asked. Think of it like this …

Imagine that you’re lost in a dark, abandoned house (I know, I know, stick with me). You’re scared and unsure. Stumbling into each step, hallway and closed door brings a sense of discomfort and panic. Now imagine that someone you trust is standing by your side the entire time, shining a flashlight on the steps in front of you, helping you see what you may not have seen in the dark. So yes, while it’s still a scary situation, the presence of both the flashlight and your trusted partner somehow make the journey a little less scary.

That’s what coaching is like with me — minus the haunted house.

You don’t have to navigate uncertainty on your own. Whether it’s a career pivot, job search spiral, or “what am I even doing with my life?” moment, I’m here to help you explore it—with strategy, support, and a little humor along the way.

What’s it like to work with me?

Every coach has a different style and approach. While I consider myself a “Career Coach”, I aim to coach you as a whole person. What does that look like in practice?

You’ve begun your job search and it’s beginning to feel scary and tedious

  • The job search can certainly feel like a full-time job with none of the benefits. Together, we’ll break it down, talk through what’s stressing you out, unpack the doubt or fear, and build a clear plan forward packed with accountability and encouragement.

You’re ready to negotiate a salary increase

  • Good for you! Advocating for yourself is powerful (and often terrifying). I’ll help you gain clarity on your priorities, talk through strategy, share comp insights, and make sure you feel confident walking into that (often intimidating) conversation.

You feel stuck professionally, but you have no idea why …

  • Totally normal. Careers aren’t linear, despite what your LinkedIn feed may have led you to believe. Together, we’ll zoom out, explore what’s missing, and figure out your next move, one step at a time.
